FREE URDU TEXT TOOL

Unicode Urdu to InPage Converter

Paste Unicode Urdu from a website, document or messaging app. Convert it into legacy text that can be pasted into an InPage Urdu text frame.

Converter

Ready. Editing the input keeps your existing output.

The converted text contains legacy InPage characters and may look unusual in the browser. Paste it into an InPage Urdu text frame to see it correctly. Numbers retain the order in which you entered them.

How to convert Unicode Urdu to InPage

  1. Paste the source. Copy Urdu from your browser, Word document, email, OCR result or news feed and paste it into the Unicode Urdu box.
  2. Convert the text. Press Convert to InPage. The previous result stays in place while you edit the source and changes only when you convert again.
  3. Copy the result. Use Copy output, open InPage, select an Urdu text frame and paste. Choose your usual InPage Urdu font if required.
  4. Proofread once. Check names, uncommon Arabic marks and punctuation because legacy encodings cannot represent every modern Unicode character.

What this converter preserves

The converter keeps paragraph breaks, tabs, English letters and ASCII numbers. Spaces between English words remain ordinary English spaces, while spaces around Urdu use the legacy InPage space token. Scores such as 248-9 remain in their original input order. Parentheses and square brackets use the legacy mappings tested with the current converter.

Both precomposed hamza forms such as ؤ and decomposed combinations such as ؤ are supported. If a character has no known mapping, it is kept in the result and a warning appears so that you can review it instead of silently losing text.

Unicode and InPage text are different

Unicode gives Urdu letters standard code points understood by modern websites, search engines, phones and office applications. Older InPage workflows often use a legacy character encoding tied to their fonts. Text can look correct inside InPage but appear as Latin symbols or question marks elsewhere. Conversion translates between those character systems; it does not change the meaning or translate the language.

This tool creates text for pasting. It does not generate a native .inp document and cannot preserve columns, images, font sizes or page layout. Keep a copy of your original Unicode text and proofread the pasted InPage result before publication.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the result look strange in my browser?

Legacy InPage text is represented by characters that only make sense to the expected InPage font and workflow. Copy the result into an Urdu text frame in InPage before judging its appearance.

Does it reverse numbers or cricket scores?

No. The converter keeps numbers exactly as entered. If translation software has already changed a score from 21-6 to 6-21, correct the source before converting.

Will English words remain readable?

English letters are preserved. Ordinary spaces are preserved between nearby English letters or digits. InPage may still require you to apply a Latin font to the English portion.

How much text can I convert?

Each request accepts up to 512 KiB of UTF-8 text, enough for most long news reports and many pages of Urdu. Very large books should be converted section by section.

Does this website store my news copy?

The converter does not intentionally save submitted text. It is sent to the server only to produce the result. Like most hosting services, the server may keep routine technical access logs; see the Privacy Policy.

Can I upload an InPage document?

No. This converter handles pasted text only. It does not open or rebuild native InPage documents.
